Good News and Bad News at the Wedding Feast
Text: Matthew 22:1-14
Reflection and Question: The good news is that the king who represents God wants everyone to come to the wedding banquet, which represents the realm of God. The bad news is that some of us give priority to other things, like the first guests who were invited but went about their business instead. Others of us are not prepared, like the guest without proper attire. In this parable, Jesus is warning us of the hazards before us as we receive His invitation to the Wedding Feast of the Lamb. How will you receive Jesus’ invitation?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, You teach us that many are called but few are chosen. Set our priorities so that Your call comes first for us and equip us with what is proper in Your eyes as we work to establish Your loving realm in this world. Amen.
